just got back in town from a trip up to greenville, nc to meet up with MC Homeless and crew for his birthday show at 21 Eleven Beer and Wine. that shit was a fuckin blast! i had a really fun time meeting and talking with people and seeing performances by the likes of Spruce Bringsteen, PT Burnem, Ceschi, Swordplay, some other bands whos names escape me, and of course the rather drunk MC Homeless!! :)

............a bit of background on Homicide......
they were an Indonesian hip-hop group for around 13 years that disbanded
late last year. Homicide was a legendary force in South East Asia as well
as other parts of the world; with a loyal diy/punker/metal following and
were heavily involved with politics/activism. their sound might be too
much for most stereo-typical hip-hop-heads. they approached hip-hop in
a noisy and aggressive way. utilizing beats in conjunction with an often
times brooding/seething under belly that would boil over into crowd moving
chants and screams.
